While in school, students are given the opportunity to participate in various outreach activities in their local area. It is part of SJVC's mission to encourage and support community involvement that builds character and inspires teamwork. SJVC strives to graduate good citizens who make well-rounded employees.
Each graduate has completed specialized, hand-on training in their chosen field. SJVC coursework includes general education as well as in-depth, career specific classes. Many programs require completion of an externship component giving students the chance to utilize their skills in a real world environment and gain experience before entering the workforce.
